Copa del Rey MAPFRE 2026

Aug 1, 2026 – Aug 9, 2026 · Palma de Mallorca
Copa del Rey MAPFRE 2026: Palma at the Center of the Mediterranean Sailing World Every August, Palma becomes a meeting point for the international sailing world as the Copa del Rey MAPFRE takes over the Bay of Palma and the Real Club Náutico de Palma. The 44th edition brought elite crews, yacht owners, sponsors and sailing insiders together for a week where serious competition on the water flows into Mallorca’s summer social calendar. Across the bay, six classes raced for one of Mediterranean sailing’s most established titles, with King Felipe VI among the competitors aboard Hispania. Back on land, the rhythm shifted from the docks to owners’ cocktails, the RCNP’s White Night and hospitality gatherings that make the regatta as much a social fixture as a sporting one. The week closed with champions crowned across the fleet and a trophy ceremony presided over by King Felipe VI at Palma’s Royal Palace of La Almudaina. High-level sailing, royal tradition and Mediterranean lifestyle come together here in a distinctly international summer scene. Images courtesy of Copa del Rey MAPFRE.
