The St. Moritz Art Film Festival 2026 took place from August 20 to 23 in St. Moritz, Switzerland, bringing contemporary art, cinema and moving image to unexpected locations across the celebrated Alpine destination. For its fifth edition, SMAFF presented “If Music,” an international programme exploring the connections between film, video art, sound and rhythm. Through screenings, artist presentations, conversations and special events, the festival brought together filmmakers, visual artists, curators and cultural voices in an intimate setting shaped by the landscape of the Swiss Alps. More than a film festival, SMAFF creates a meeting point where artistic experimentation, critical dialogue and St. Moritz’s distinctive social atmosphere come together.
