The Corales Puntacana Championship returned to the Dominican Republic from July 16 to 19, bringing international golf to the oceanfront Corales Golf Course at Puntacana Resort. Set between coral cliffs, natural coves and sweeping Caribbean views, the ninth edition paired PGA TOUR competition with one of the circuit’s most distinctive tropical settings. Italy’s Stefano Mazzoli delivered the defining moment of the tournament, closing with a six-under 66 and sinking a 24-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to secure his first PGA TOUR title. His 20-under total of 268 gave him a one-stroke victory over Gordon Sargent and Todd Clements, earning him the title of “King of Corales.” Spectators gathered around the final green and oceanfront skyboxes as Mazzoli received the trophy, the traditional white chacabana and the iconic Corales hat.
